Resolutions, who keeps those! January 1 rolls around and we all have the best intentions. “This is the year I will hit the gym.” “This is the year I will travel more.” I always try to find a goal to direct myself towards for a new year but 9 times out of 10 I have fallen off the resolution wagon by February. The only year I actually came close to completing one was in 2016 when I made the goal to see every health care professional that my children see. (Missed it by a dentist!)
2017 ended on such a hectic note. The holiday season is not a relaxing one in our household. Between extra long work hours and winter being our busiest sports season for our three children, there was no time for any “me time”. Because of this, my 2018 resolution was to take more time to decompress daily and get back to doing something I really love, reading. So, I am going to challenge myself to read a book for every week in the year. I’m starting this blog to help track what I’m reading, what I books I enjoy or not and hopefully pass on some good reviews to help my fellow bookworms decide what to read next. Also, I am always looking for good book suggestions and would love to hear what is on your “must read” list. I plan to update this blog every 10 books, so follow along with me.
